Infrastructure

Without resilient infrastructure, care collapses when it’s needed most. We support innovations in healthcare delivery, supply chain, and climate-smart health facilities, alongside safe water, sanitation, and hygiene systems that keep essential medicines, equipment, and care flowing. These investments ensure continuous access to care, safeguard health outcomes, and protect women’s health before, during, and after climate crises.

Workforce Development

An effective, climate-ready health workforce is essential for protecting women’s health across the lifecourse. We invest in training and equipping health workers, majority of whom are women, to deliver care in the face of climate threats. By strengthening skills, resources, and local leadership, we build frontline capacity to respond to emergencies, sustain essential services, and adapt to the evolving health risks of a changing climate.

Research, Advocacy & Policy Reform

Addressing the impact of climate change on women’s health and rights starts with closing critical knowledge and policy gaps. We fund research that quantifies the unique health impacts of climate change on women such as heat-related pregnancy complications, air pollution, disruptions to primary and maternal care, and increased disease exposure.

We support advocacy organizations to use that evidence to drive policy reform by embedding these insights into national adaptation plans and climate finance mechanisms to ensure that women’s health is systematically prioritized and resourced in future planning.
